So often when things are cheaper the quality isn't too good and many Dollar Store items are fine for one time use and you can't be too hard on them or they will break. So don't expect them to last forever and in many cases you get what you pay for and with Dollar Store items sometimes even less.

1..DEODORANT AND ANTIPERSPIRANTS
There are a lot of name brand deodorants and antiperspirants at the Dollar Store but before you buy them check the size because often a bigger version is available for not much more at your local department and drug store and it obviously it will be a better value there.
2..TOOLS
If you are looking for tools that will last for years then the Dollar Store tools arent for you. They're okay if it's an emergency and if you're going to only use them a few times so I would just go to the department store and get a good set that will last you a long time.
3..TOYS
If they're not going to be used that much then dollar store toys are for you (sarcasm). They won't stand up to regular use and be careful with toys for toddlers because some of those parts can pop off and become very dangerous and toddlers could choke on them. So I would never never never buy toys from the Dollar Store.
4..SODA POP
You might think you're getting a deal when you buy your pop at the Dollar Store but often the bottles are smaller and actually you just might up end up paying more per ounce then you would if you bought your pop at the grocery store.
5..KNIVES
If you only need knives to go camping with once a year then get the ones from the Dollar Store other than that I would just purchase a really good set from a department store because if you want to do some serious cooking and fancy chef chopping Dollar Store knives won't last and maybe not too safe.
